I need to rehome my specimen. He's a mid-size Veiled Drifter, approximately 4 years old, about 18 inches at rest (variable). I've had him since he was a larval wisp and he's been great: docile temperament, eats standard ambient particulate, doesn't shed much.
The issue is my landlord updated the lease to prohibit specimens above Category C and Gerald (yes, I named him, yes I know you're not supposed to) was reclassified last month from C to C-Plus after the neighbor complained about the hallway temperature dropping every time he passes through the wall. He doesn't mean anything by it. That's just how he moves.
He responds to his name about 40% of the time, which the vet says is above average for his species. He does need a terrarium rated for phase-shifting, the mesh ones don't work, he just goes through them. Learned that one fast.
Please, serious inquiries only. I've already had three people come look at him and leave because they "felt a presence." That IS Gerald. He's being friendly. He likes to hover near new people. Direct eye contact seems to bother him so just don't do that and you'll be fine.
I will need to know that he's going to a good home. He has feelings. I think.
